How to Apply for HPPSC HPAS Exam 2023? 

The applications for the HPPSC HPAS Exam must be submitted online. The last date for application submission is June 14, 2023. Follow the steps mentioned below to apply online.

Step-1: Visit the official website of HPPSC

Step-2: Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab.

Step-3: Now click on the ‘online application registration link.

Step-4: Click on New Registration.

Step-5: Enter all the details asked on the page and complete the registration process.

HPPSC HPAS Eligibility Criteria 2023

All applicants must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions specified by HPPSC. Applicants who do not meet the eligibility will be disqualified. Check the HPPSC HPAS Eligibility Criteria in the following sub-sections

Nationality

A candidate must be a citizen of India.

HPPSC HPAS Educational Qualifications: 

• A candidate is supposed to hold a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.
• A candidate who has appeared for the examination and whose passing will make him qualified for the examination, but has not been told of the result, may apply for admission to the examination.
• Applicants who have completed the final professional M.B.B.S. or any other medical examination equivalent thereof, but have not finished their internship at the date of submission of their HAS applications, etc., will be provisionally accepted for the examination provided that they submit, along with their applications, a copy of the university/institution certificate from which they have passed the requisite examination. 

Age limit (As on 01-01-2023)

The age limit for the applicants is as mentioned below:

• Minimum age: 21 years (Not born born on or after 02-01-2002)
• Maximum Age: 35 years (Not born on or before 01-01-1988)

HPPSC HPAS Exam Pattern 2023

The applicants must be aware of the HPPSC HPAS Exam Pattern. This would help them prepare well for the examination. 

HPPSC HPAS Prelims Exam Pattern

The Prelims examination will have 2 papers. Each of these sections will have objective-type (multiple choices) questions. The detailed exam pattern will be as mentioned below

• Paper-II (Aptitude Test) is only qualifying in nature. The minimum qualifying marks for the same are 33%.
•  For each wrong answer, 1/3rd of the marks assigned will be deducted.

HPPSC HPAS Mains Exam Pattern

The HPPSC HPAS Mains Examination comprises Compulsory and Optional Papers. candidates can choose the subjects for the optional papers at the time of submitting their applications. The detailed exam pattern for the Mains exam is as mentioned below:

Interview/Personality Test

The HPPSC HPAS Interview/ Personality Test is the final stage of the HPAS test. The viva-voce bears 150 marks. The candidates are expected to be aware of the local folklore of Himachal Pradesh. Local languages, Himachal-centric issues, the socio-economic structure of the state, the tribes of the state, and the likes. The final merit shall be drawn from the marks secured in the main (written) and the viva-voce.
