KEA Principal Application Fee

KEA Principal Eligibility 2023 

Aspirants who want to appear for the examination must fulfil the KEA Principal Eligibility Criteria. The eligibility criteria include age limit, educational qualification, nationality and work experience. Required eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

Age Limit

The candidate appearing for the KEA Principal post must meet the required age limit. The minimum age limit is 25 years. The upper age limit varies for different categories. To know the upper age limit check out the table mentioned below.

Educational Qualification 

The candidates must meet the required educational qualification to be eligible for the post of KEA Principal. The educational qualifications required are given below:

• The candidates must have PhD qualifications from UGC-recognized University. 
• The candidate must have a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals. 
• The candidate must have a minimum score of 110 Research Score as per (Appendix 11, Table 2 of UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the maintenance of standards in Higher Education, 2018 as specified in Appendix-1). 

Nationality 

The candidate who wants to apply for the KEA Principal position must be an Indian citizen. 

Number of Attempts 

The candidates are free to apply as many times until they have cleared the recruitment process of the KEA Principal post or until they have reached the maximum age limit prescribed as per their category.

Experience

As per the notification released by the KEA, the candidate must have experience as a Professor/ Associate Professor with a total experience as a full-time faculty of 15 years of teaching/ research/ administration in any Government First Grade College or Private Degree College affiliated with Universities of Karnataka drawing salary in UGC pay scale.
