The OSSC Combined Technical Services Recruitment Examination is conducted for recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineer, Junior MVI, and Junior Mining Officer, etc. A total of 430 vacancies have been announced for these posts. Check the post-wise vacancy distribution below:

OSSC Combined Technical Services Application Process 

The applications for the Odisha Combined Technical Services Recruitment Examination must be submitted online. The application window will remain active between 20th December 2023 to 19th January 2024. Below are the steps to apply online.

Step 1: Visit the OSSC Application Portal.

Step 2: Click on the Registration Link given against the advertisement for OSSC Combined Technical Services Exam. 

Step 3: Enter the required details and complete the registration. 

Step 4: Using the credentials obtained during registration, login and proceed to fill the application form.

Candidates applying for the Combined Technical Services Recruitment must check the post-specific eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities. • Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non - language subject ; or
• Passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class -VII or above
• Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

OSSC Combined Technical Services Selection Process

The OSSC Combined Technical Services Recruitment Examination comprises 3 stages. The details of the same are as follows:

• Prelims Examination - 150 marks
• Mains Examination - 200 marks
• Certificate Verification

• The total marks for the Prelims will be 150.
• The exam duration will be 150 minutes.
• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response.
• All questions asked will be MCQs.
• The paper will be of General Awareness.

OSSC Combined Technical Services Mains Exam Pattern

The OSSC Combined Technical Services Mains Examination will be an objective-type exam for 200 marks. It will assess the Technical Knowledge of the candidates. The exam pattern for the same is given below.

OSSC Combined Technical Services Syllabus 

The OSSC Technical Services syllabus for Prelims will be based on General subjects like Reasoning, Aptitude and General Knowledge, while the Mains Exam syllabus will be based on post-wise Technical subjects. The detailed syllabus for each of these stages is as mentioned in the following table.
