The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited released the PGCIL Field Engineer Recruitment 2023 Notification for a total of 122 vacancies. PGCIL is looking to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Field Engineer (Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ IT). Aspirants who wish to apply for the recruitment can submit their applications through online mode.

The interested candidates can submit their applications through an online mode  for the PGCIL Field Engineer. The steps on how to apply for the recruitment process are mentioned below. Follow the instructions carefully.

Step 1: Go to the official website.

Step 2: Click on "New Registration".

Step 3: Fill in the application form with necessary details like name, date of birth, email ID, phone number, address, educational details, etc.

Step 4: Your Application Number and Date of Birth will be sent to your email address.

PGCIL Field Engineer Exam Pattern 2023

The PGCIL Field Engineer expected written exam pattern is provided in the table below. Candidates can prepare themselves for the PGCIL Field Engineer Recruitment exam by following the detailed examination pattern.

• The selections shall be made on the basis of a written test of the candidates found eligible after scrutiny.
• Candidates qualifying in the Written Test will be shortlisted in the order of merit of marks obtained.
• The test would be of 1-hour duration.
• All questions would be MCQ type with 4 options and carry equal weightage (1 mark each) and there shall be no negative marking. 
• Qualifying marks would be a minimum of 40% for Unreserved including EWS and 30% for reserved vacancies.
• Candidates shall have the option of appearing in the Written Test in Hindi or English.
• The merit will be drawn purely on the basis of performance in the Interview.

PGCIL Field Engineer Salary Details

Candidates selected under PGCIL Field Engineer Recruitment on Contract will be paid monthly remuneration in the pay band of Rs 30,000-1,20,000/- with initial basic pay of Rs 30,000/- + Industrial DA + HRA + Perks @35 % of basic pay. 

• On successful completion of every year, PGCIL Field Engineers will be eligible for annual increment at the rate of 3% during subsequent years of engagement. 
• The increment will be given from the first day of month subsequent to the month in which you complete the year.
