The PSTET Short Notification has been released by the PSEB on their official website. The Punjab State Education Board (PSEB)  conducts the Punjab STET Exam once a year. Candidates with Senior Secondary/Graduation + Teaching Qualification were eligible to apply for the examination process. Punjab STET Apply Online 2024

Candidates who wish to apply for the Punjab TET Exam 2024 have to submit their applications through an online mode. Follow the steps given below to apply for the exam.

Step 1: Click on the link that has been mentioned above. 

Step 2: Proceed to "New User". Enter the applicant name, email ID, mobile number, and captcha code in order to register. 

Step 3: The candidates can now log in and proceed to the application form.

Step 4: Enter your contact details, personal details, etc., and upload the scanned copies of the photograph and signature. The candidates can use the Testbook Resize Tool.

Step 5: Before submitting the application, check if all details are correctly mentioned.

Step 6: Click on the submit button and also take a copy of the application form for further reference.

Punjab STET Application Fee 

  • The candidates belonging to General Category must pay an application fee of INR 1000.

Punjab STET Selection Process 2024

The selection process Punjab STET has just 1 stage - Written test. Paper I will be for teaching aspirants who are targeting classes I-V while Paper-II will be for the teachers who are targeting Classes VI-VIII. 

  • The PSTET test is divided into two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. In both examinations, there are 150 MCQs worth one mark each. The paper is worth a total of 150 marks. The Punjab STET exam has no negative marking.
  • The PSEB publishes the PSTET result on the exam's official website. Candidates who achieve a minimum of 60% on the written test are pronounced qualified.

PSTET Minimum Qualifying Marks 2024

Candidates must get minimum qualifying marks in order to pass the papers. Candidates will be contacted for document verification if they score the PSTET Minimum Qualifying Marks in the written exam. The PSTET certificate will be delivered to the candidates once the process is completed. The PSTET Minimum Qualifying Marks vary for each candidate depending upon their category. Punjab STET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Paper I Eligibility/ Class I-V Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should fulfill at least one of the PSTET Eligibility criteria mentioned below:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Paper II Eligibility/ Class VI-VIII Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should fulfill at least one out of all the Eligibility criteria mentioned below:

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

PSTET Exam Pattern 2024

The PSTET Exam Pattern for classes I-V and Vi-VIII are given in the table below. Both the primary & upper primary papers will be of 150 marks in total. The upper primary paper will be more difficult as compared to the primary paper. Candidates can check the Punjab STET Exam Pattern as given below.
