A total number of 6% of the candidates who have appeared for the Assam SET exam will be declared as qualified for the exam. For instance, if a total number of 1,00,000 candidates has appeared for the exam 6% i.e. 6,000 candidates will be declared as qualified candidates in the exam. The State Level Examination Test Commission, Assam has invited applications for the Assam SET 2024. The steps to apply online are:
Step 1: Visit the SLET website. Click the link to apply online for SET 2024.
Step 2: Complete the registration and fill out the application form.
Step 3: Upload a recent passport size photograph and signature. You may use Testbook's SLET Photo and Signature Tool to optimize the size of these documents for uploading.
Step 4: Verify all the details and click on “I Accept” and click on save and next.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway page. Pay the required amount and click on submit.
Step 6: Download and take a printout of the application form.

The SLET Commission conducts the Assam SET as an eligibility test for candidates who wish to apply for the post of Assistant Professor in Government Universities of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Tripura. By qualifying this exam candidates can apply for the said post at the university of their choice. The selection process for final appointment will be as decided by the respective institution.
Candidates applying for the SLET exam must check the SLET eligibility criteria set by the organization for the candidates. Those who meet the eligibility such as age limit, education qualification will be eligible to appear for the SET Exam. Applications of ineligible candidates will be disqualified.
According to the Official Notification, all the candidates appearing for SLET must be a citizen of India.
There is no upper age limit for eligibility for applying for this Test. Candidates who qualify in the Test are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor within the jurisdiction of the Member-States of this SLET Commission. They will be issued a Pass certificate and the validity period of the certificate is forever

The Commission will release the Cut Off for SLET 2024 after the examination is conducted and the result is out. The Cut Off marks may vary every year depending upon factors like Total number of appearing candidates, type of questions, etc. The SLET Cut Off is very important for the candidates as that is the minimum marks that a candidate must get to qualify for the next step.
