UPSC NDA 2024 Notification to be Out Soon! Earlier, The Union Public Service Commission had released the written exam result for UPSC NDA, NA II 2023 on 23rd November 2023.The Exam was conducted on September 3, 2023. Successful Candidates have been qualified for interview by the Services Selection Board. Also, the final result of NDA I was announced. A total of 395 vacancies was released under the recruitment process of UPSC NDA 2. The NDA exam is conducted for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings. The selection process for the exam includes a Written Exam and SSB Interview. Candidates who get successful selection under UPSC NDA will get a salary range between Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100. Candidates must go through the NDA1 previous year's papers. Attempting the NDA1 mock tests is also essential.
UPSC NDA 2024 Notification to be Out on 20th December 2023. The Union Public Service Commission conducts the UPSC NDA Exam. The NDA exam is a highly sought-after exam for individuals wishing to join the Indian Defence services, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year. Only the candidates who have completed or are in the 12th grade are eligible to take the NDA exam. The NDA-qualified students are admitted into the National Defense Academy and are trained for 3 years to serve the nation in different wings of the Indian Defence forces. The UPSC will release the NDA 2024 official notification on its website. This Exam is a national-level exam conducted twice every year by UPSC for recruitment into the Navy, Air Force, and Navy wings of the NDA.
NDA is one of the country's most buzzing defence entrance examinations. This exam is carried out for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) and National Defence Academy.
The exam is conducted twice annually in two tiers: a written test and SSB Interview. UPSC-shortlisted candidates with minimum qualifying marks are only called further for the SSB Interview round in Intelligence and Personality Test. Around 4 lakh aspirants wish to attend the examination, of which approximately 6000 are called for the interview round. The official notification that the NDA will release will consist the details about the vacancies. Separate vacancies will be released for various services and for males and females. Candidates can check the details of the branch-wise vacancies below as per the vacancy details released last year.

The Application window for the NDA Exam is open till 6th June 2024. The steps on how to apply are mentioned below.
Step 1: Go to the official website and complete the OTR (One Time Registration) process first.
Step 2: Then proceed and begin filling out the Part I Online Application form.
Step 3: Fill in the mandatory details before clicking on Submit.
Step 4: A unique Registration ID will be generated after successful submission.
Step 5: Pay the fees and revisit the website.
Step 6: Select Part II Registration and Fill in all the details in Part II.
Step 7: After submitting the form, take the printout of the application form for further reference.

Step 9: Repeat the above steps.
The candidates belonging to the SC/ST category will not have to pay any examination fee. The fee can be paid either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using the net banking facility of any bank or through Visa/MasterCard/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI. In order to apply for the NDA exam 2024, candidates must satisfy the minimum eligibility requirements as stated in the official notification. Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for the examination. These criteria are expressed in terms of nationality, age limit, educational qualification, and others. The NDA Eligibility Criteria is presented in the following subsections:

Candidates applying for the NDA 2024 should not be born earlier than born not earlier than 2nd January 2005 and not later than 1st January 2008. Candidates should note that only the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary School Examination Certificate available or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of applications will be accepted by the Commission and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted. Also, candidates should be unmarried and they cannot marry until the completion of their training period.
A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application though successful at this or any subsequent examination will not be selected for training. A candidate who marries during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditures incurred on him by the Government.

The candidates who wish to join the prestigious National Defence Academy will have to undergo an intricate process of selection. The process can broadly divide into two stages namely written examination and SSB examination. The SSB stands for Service Selection Board. The written exam will consist of two papers i.e. Mathematics and General Ability Test.

The candidates must understand the exam pattern in detail in order to prepare for the Examination. The examination pattern for both stages of selection has been discussed below. Both stages of selection will have two sub-stages. Each of the sub-stages in the NDA Exam Pattern has been clearly explained in simple terms.

The SSB exam will further consist of two stages i.e. Stage I and Stage II. In this stage, the overall personality of the candidate is judged. This is done by three people i.e. The Interviewing Officer (IO), Group Testing Officer (GTO), and the Psychologist. The tests taken in the SSB are taken to figure out the presence/absence of Officer Like Qualities and candidates' trainability. The two stages of the SSB Examination are as follows.
Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception * Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on a combination of performance in the OIR Test and PP&DT.
Stage II: Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference.
The SSB interview is 900 marks and the total marks including the written test and the SSB Interview are 1800.
The Union Public Service Commission's Official Notification for NDA Exam 2024 will contain an extensive salary structure. During the training cycle, the Cadets will be paid a fixed stipend of Rs. 56,100/- for the duration of their training in service academies (i.e. during their training period at IMA). The pay in the pay matrix of the Officer commissioned shall be set in the first Cell of Level 10 after good training. The Pay scale will differ from one post to another and will be mentioned in the official guidelines.

After getting commissioned as an officer in the Indian Army and equivalent ranks in the Air Force and Navy the salary of the officers is fixed as per the first Cell of Level 10. The Officers are promoted as per their years of service and after clearing promotional exams.
